Guyism : Top-notch french wine in a pop-top can

Top-notch french wine in a pop-top can

Wine packaging is constantly evolving, from bottle to box and cork to cap, but only now has it become truly accessible to all. Winestar will offer high-quality French wine in handy single-serving cans.

Winestar is claiming a “new revolution in high-quality wine consumption” as it offers a range of premium French wines in cans.

The first wine in a can will come from Château de l ‘Ille, in Corbières. Winestar also claim they will bring a “Best Selection”, which will feature wines from smaller and less well-known vineyards.

I’m not sure I buy the “new revolution” angle. I know they’re specifically referring to the fact that it is high quality juice, but I’ve had some pretty decent grapes from a can. Sofia? That stuffs my jam on NYE. I’ve even had wine from a juice box before. Sure I had already been tailgating for five hours when I tried it, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t the pinnacle of vinification. I certainly believed at the time that it was worthy of a spot at the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976.
